Maybe You Never Cry Again by Bernie Mac - STILL MISSING THE MAC-MAN

By the tender of age of five, Bernie Mac had found his calling: making others laugh. Now this amazing comedian delves deep inside to share the poignant story of his childhood and the people who shaped him into the strong, self-reliant man and ruthlessly funny comedian he is today.

When Bernie was just sixteen, he lost his mother to cancer.

A tough but loving teacher, she showered the unwilling boy with life lessons and Mac-isms that would later carry him through many hardships and give him strength during his slow rise to stardom. Maybe You Never Cry Again recounts this ascent in hilarious detail, from eight-year-old Bernies stand-up comedy performance at a church dinner to open mike nights in Chicago, the jobs he juggled to make ends meet and eventually, his success in entertaining huge audiences on stage, in film, and on television.

Maybe You Never Cry Again is a powerful testament to how a mothers love makes everything possible.

STILL MISSING THE MAC-MAN
I enjoyed MAYBE YOU NEVER CRY AGAIN more than ANY book I have ever read. I read the book in only a few hours. As I have always been a fan of Bernies, the book made me laugh and cry. When Im having a bad day or moment, the book actually helps me get through it...I might think about something silly that Bernie said like rederfrine and I start laughing like crazy. I used to watch the Bernie Mac Show every night...and still do because I have the complete season on DVD. Sure Bernie was not a perfect human being--as none of us are--but his comedy was the closet to perfection. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to personally meet Bernie. But, certainly, he was the coolest cat that I have ever seen on and off TV. No one can dress like Bernie!!! And, he had the prettiest teeth/smile in the world!!! I miss you sorely, MAC MAN!!!
