As with Out of Egypt, the opening novel, The Road to Cana is based on the Gospels and on the most respected New Testament scholarship. The book's power derives from the profound feeling its author brings to the writing and the way in which she summons up the presence of Jesus.

This book is outstanding! Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. Reading Anne Rice's work, since she returned to her faith, has been a gift for me. My friends and I have shared our reading and we all agree that these are outstanding books. The Road to Cana was my favorite, better even than Out of Egypt, which I also enjoyed.
