Some reviewers have stated that this book is about abusing children, that is completely false! This does not even mention spanking, rather it deals not with a child's actions, but their heart and what lies in it. Our society tells us to 'put our children first,' but that's not biblical! We are to be Christ-centered in our marriages and in our families. When we deal with the heart of our children, the root and reason for their actions, then we are dealing with sin, which allows us to share the Gospel to our children. The difference is that we want to change our children's behavior, not temporally, but for eternity- we do that through the Gospel and this book practically teaches us how to do that using Scripture and not with the world's ideas, which are temporal. Excellent book and highly recommend it!!!!
