Brando: Songs My Mother Taught Me by Marlon Brando - Too Know Marlon Brando...

Too Know Marlon Brando...
Marlon was an extraordinary person. His work with Native Americans or American Indians is nothing short of admirable. His willingless to speak out against the injustices done to so many Jewish people over the course of History is demonstrating an awesome awareness. His devolpment as a human being over the course of these pages is beautiful and therepeutic to behold.

His modesty is incredulous. Down playing his brilliance in perhaps the greatest movie of all-time On The Waterfront, he stated the role of Terry Malloy was "Actor Proof" and therefore there was no way the actor could mess it up. WoW! You know he won the Best Actor Oscar! Of course everyone knows that and could you have pictured anyone else playing Terry Malloy? I thought it was interesting as well he always thought he had been miscast as Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire. For note, Marlon said some of his finest acting was done in Burn.

I really gained a lot from this book. I love it and plan to read again. It's a quite unique story of a quite special person.
