One of the best books ever
I bought this book around 1966 when I was in junior high school. I still have the original copy and it has been through too many moves to mention. I have read it many times and just finished it again in only one day. It is timeless and tells an excellent story of 4 children who struggled to survive the war on thier own.
This book should be required reading for middle school students as an introduction to a horrible time in history.
